John Dominis was an American photographer best known for his iconic images of celebrities, athletes, and politicians. He began his career in the 1940s as a staff photographer for Life magazine and went on to become one of the most influential photographers of the 20th century. His work has been featured in numerous publications including Time, Sports Illustrated, and National Geographic. He was also a pioneer in color photography and helped to popularize it during the 1950s and 1960s. Throughout his career he captured some of the most memorable moments in history, from John F. Kennedy's presidential campaign to Muhammad Ali's boxing matches.
I love him for his series on Steve McQueen.
