Grete Stern was an Argentine photographer who had a long and successful career. She was born in Germany in 1904, but moved to Argentina in 1929 where she established her own photography studio with her partner, Horacio Coppola. She is best known for her surrealist photographs which often featured dream-like images of women and children.
