Erwin Blumenfeld was a German-American photographer who is best known for his fashion photography. He began his career in Berlin, where he worked as a commercial artist and experimented with avant-garde techniques. In 1941, he emigrated to the United States and quickly established himself as one of the leading photographers of the era. His work appeared in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Life Magazine and other publications. He was also an accomplished fine art photographer whose works were exhibited at galleries around the world.
